Transitions
"The Art of Change"
We invite everyone to celebrate "Transitions", a powerful exhibition speaking to the beauty, tension, and excitement of transformation, offering visitors a chance to reflect on their own experiences with change.
The essence of "Transitions" is about change, movement, and transformation. This theme explores the journey from one state to another, whether that’s physical, emotional, cultural, or societal. It could focus on personal experiences, shifts in relationships, the passage of time, or the evolution of ideas and identities.
"Transitions" could span large societal movements or more intimate personal journeys, but the common thread would be the constant and inevitable nature of change.
We encourage submissions that capture:

✅ Emotional and Psychological Transitions
✅ Conflict and Resolution

We host a variety of art calls throughout the year, and encourage you to consider all of them. Best of Show & People’s Choice award winners have a chance to win cash prizes.
Eligible Mediums:
2D Art: Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art, and mixed media
3D Art: Sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, textile art, and found-object creations
To participate, please do the following:
Submissions are open to artists of all levels, backgrounds, and ages.
Each non-associate artist may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. Associate artists may submit up to 6 pieces for consideration.
Submitted artwork must align with the theme of Transitions: The Art of Change.
Artwork should be original and not infringe upon any copyrights. Please be aware that we will not accept any artwork that is deemed pornographic, hateful, or violent. Artwork previously submitted to other exhibits will be rejected.
Please provide a brief artist statement with each submission, explaining how your work relates to the theme.
Digital submissions should be high-resolution images (300 dpi) in JPEG or PNG format. Please resize to 1920 pixels along the longest side. Please be aware that these images are utilized by Serendipity Studio to build the online exhibit as well as promote the exhibit in marketing, so please submit your best images.

Identify each image with title, medium, size, and retail price
Do NOT just simply include a link to your website/Instagram/Facebook, etc.
Please complete the form below.
If you are selected, you will be emailed a contract further explaining the terms of the agreement. The costs associated with the call are a $30 fee per piece that is selected, unless you are an Associate Artist of the gallery, in which case your fee will be reduced by $25 per piece. The gallery retains a 25% commission from all sales during the exhibit, unless the artists have an existing Associate Artist agreement.
$5 of each submission fee will be donated to The Banquet of Sioux Falls. We appreciate all that they do help serving families, individuals, and children of all ages.
