So Far
“So Far” is a modern interpretation of disconnection and uses the natural color and grains in wood, to create movement, tension, and the sense of wanting to be something more, but being dislocated from the connection. The black limba wood has a unique dark grain which creates intriguing tension with harsh directional changes and gives a sense of unrest. The shape allowed for the points to be so close but So Far apart, especially with the break between them. The whole piece is slightly skewed, only adding to the sense of unease in the unknown.
