Firefly Night

"Firefly Night" is an original acrylic painting I created for the "Dreamscape Fantasy" series, which focused on nostalgia, depicting fireflies and whimsical scenery.

Both the fireflies & the Starry Night reference are nostalgic... My love of art has been supported & encouraged since I was little. I received a "Modern Art" Coffee Table Book when I was 13 & became enamored with the imagery from Monet to Van Gogh, Klimt, Frida and Picasso. Pouring over the glossy pages & analyzing every detail.

This painting is infused with Starry Night references, blended with my own artistic style; a callback to my early love of modern art.

The fireflies reminisce of childhood memories; driving down gravel roads through the Black Hills, or running next to the train tracks, enchanted by the fireflies' dance.
