Electric Botanicals

Electric Botanicals is a lively view of what I imagine our brain pathways look like as we enjoy nature or gardens. I was inspired by the concept of our brains running on electrical currents. The dark background allows the primary colors to pop reminiscent of neon signs; which of course also rely on electricity to function. There are some other spiky floral shapes that suggest the flowers we find in nature. Overall, this piece relates to the theme “pathways” because it’s a metaphorical image of our neural pathways as we wander, wonder & discover nature.
